Thanks for checking results out today. The theme for my blobs were "found objects". With that, one design inspired a quick cartoon...enjoy.

Download a CREATE A CHARACTER Activity sheet the first Monday of each month. Sketch up characters on your own or with friends/family. Post designs on social media using #createacharacteractivity. I’ll be sharing my results the last Friday of the month (but you can find sneak peeks on Instagram)!
If your child/student would like their design included in my Friday post, send a JPG along with their name + age to:

Happy Friday! Thanks for checking in. What a big week it has been, all thanks to - a very special delivery. If you are a friend on my FB page feel free to skip ahead to BLOB designs. If not, please read along. My picture book proofs for THE LADYBUG RACE arrived for approval! I think I broke all ripping-box-open speeds. There was jumping, high pitches were hit, then quiet reflection as I flipped through the bright pages. What a journey this story has put me on. I am truly grateful for the diligent team at PomegranateKids and the incredible care THE LADYBUG RACE has received (a special thanks to Carey Hall!).
Yes - paper can be hugged. THE LADYBUG RACE will be released in September 2015. Updates and news will be announced via FB and Twitter.
On to BLOBS #34 results! With less than a month now to a spring SCBWI conference, it is shift-into-high-gear mode to get my MUST DO's completed. This means pencil sketches only for designs...enjoy.

BLOBS were tough for me. But thinking about the BLOB stories from last week helped spark some ideas. Can you see a story forming from the designs below? Keep scrolling to find out what characters connected. Enjoy!
