It is RESULTS DAY and BLOBS have birthed Santa's Race Car, Black Belt Betty and a potential member of the Hungry Halloween Blobs cast, to name a few!
What I enjoy most about BLOBS is I am constantly learning and experimenting. I would have never drawn a shrimp for the fun of it last week. Nor would I have drawn a catfish a few weeks before that. The same for witches, frogs or seals. I would have stayed in my me zone and continued to draw beings and creatures I know best (women, kids and...ladybugs).
I also pick up nifty information along the way. One of the shapes below inspired a bee like character...which turned into a giant bee puppet-powered-by-people parade float...which made me wonder if an insect parade exists somewhere in the world. With some quick research I discovered Bee City Usa. It was a week long celebration in Asheville, North Carolina that occurred this past June. They are the first inaugurated city to promote pollination and raise awareness in the community about the power of pollinators. And although I did not find a bee parade in the events that went on that week...maybe it could happen in the future? Enjoy the designs below!
